Global Knife Sharpener Review:

Both the Global Diamond Sharpening Steel and the Global Ceramic Sharpening Rod are good for helping realign and slightly sharpen knives to reduce the frequency of professional sharpening.  The Diamond Steel is better than a traditional steel knife sharpening rod, as it the diamonds help to slightly sharpen the knives.  Eventually a knife will need a more professional sharpener to make it sharp again, but both of these Global Knife sharpeners help keep knives sharper for longer between professional sharpening.  The Global Ceramic Sharpening Rod is especially good for Global Knives, which are harder than typical European and American brand knives.

The Global Minosharp Plus, Global Two-Sided Water Sharpening Stone, Rough/Medium, and Global Ceramic Whetstone, Fine Grit all help hone and sharpen knives professionally.  Thus having one or a combination of these Global Knife sharpeners allows you to keep your knives sharp without having to take your knives to be professionally sharpened.  The Global Minosharp Plus is especially good for heavier European and American brand knives.  The Global Minosharp Plus is a quick and easy way to get your knives honed and sharp professionally on your own.

The Global Two-Sided Water Sharpening Stone, Rough/Medium does tend to take a little more time to get good at using, but it does provide great knife sharpening results.  The Rough side helps sharpen dull knives and the medium side helps hone it further.  If you then use the Global Ceramic Whetstone, Fine Grit you can end up with an even better professionally honed knife.  The Fine Grit is also great to use to keep your knives sharp and increase the time between needing to do more intense sharpening with the Rough or Medium whetstones.
